Department: Clinical Data Abstraction 

Reports To: Director of Clinical Data Abstraction 

Position Overview: 

The Full-time Abstraction Account Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing Carta's clinical data abstractors and managing client relationships. This position ensures the timely and accurate entry of data, adherence to established quality standards, and effective communication with clients. The Account Manager collaborates closely with Associate Account Managers, Team Leads, and both Full-time and Part-time Abstractors to drive success in data management and client satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Team Management & Training:

○ Oversee the assessment, measurement, and reporting of registry data for Carta Healthcare clients. 

○ Ensure that staff are well-trained, perform tasks on schedule, and maintain accuracy in all data entry activities. 

○ Conduct Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) assessments and report findings to maintain data quality standards. 

  • Client Communication & Support:

○ Prepare for and attend weekly client-facing meetings, providing updates on case counts and progress. 

○ Hold weekly meetings and generate reports for all assigned clients, ensuring transparent communication. 

○ Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, onboarding clients to Carta Healthcare’s services, and evaluating their needs. 

  • Process Improvement:

○ Suggest and implement software system and process improvements in collaboration with the development team, including user acceptance testing (UAT). 

○ Work closely with the Director of Clinical Data Abstraction to address any issues from customers and the user community promptly. 

  • Sales & Customer Success:

○ Support sales efforts by enabling sales team effectiveness and participating in client-related activities. 

○ Collaborate with the Customer Success Team to ensure client satisfaction and success. 

  • Additional Responsibilities:

○ Attend quality summits (2-3 times per year) on behalf of Carta Healthcare, which may require travel.

○ Perform other duties as described and directed by the Director of Clinical Data Abstraction. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience:

○ At least 5 years of experience in data registry processes, including data abstraction, data entry, policy revision and implementation, and understanding of submission criteria, audits, and risk models. 

○ A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible job-related experience, including 2 years in a leadership capacity. 

○ At least 2 years of customer-facing experience and 2 years of project management experience. 

  • Skills:

○ Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently. ○ Impeccable customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with high-level personnel. 

○ Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 

○ Proficiency in Microsoft software applications. 

  • Other Requirements:

○ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple 

responsibilities. 

○ Willingness to perform tasks beyond the usual scope of duties. 

○ Flexibility to attend meetings and serve as a program liaison when required.

Salary: $75-85k
